Gardena-Torrance Baptist Church began as a home away from home for folks moving to the South Bay from Hawaii by Reverend Lawrence Uyehara of Sawtelle Southern Baptist Church of West LA in November 1961. (Read the full story on our ABOUT page)
As was our tradition, we will celebrate our 65th anniversary on Saturday, November 7th with a celebration Luau and a special worship service on Sunday, November 8th.
